WHO IS TINY BLOKE AND WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT EH? EH? EH?
Tiny Bloke is a character I invented on a graphic chat environment called Palace. I created the image and then kept changing his clothing so that after a while I ended up with a whole catalogue of Tiny Blokes. I then found an outlet for my interest in watercolour painting by selling paintings on Ebay, landscapes, still-life and so on. And then I decided to actually paint Tiny Blokes rather than create them on a computer and this is the result. The little paintings became very popular amongst my friends and so I have started to sell them.
WHO ARE YOU ANYWAY?
I am a comedy writer, artist and cartoonist from Sheffield U.K. who also writes humour books under the name of David Hallamshire.
CAN I BUY TINY BLOKE PAINTINGS DIRECTLY FROM YOU?
Yes! Have a look at the Tiny Bloke Catalogue and if there is one you fancy then just email me and send a cheque for £7.50 (or Paypal) if you are in the U.K. or £9.50 if you are abroad. Payment from abroad is by PayPal ONLY!! Both prices include postage. But please email me first to make sure your chosen painting is still available..
DO YOU DO COMMISSIONS FOR TINY BLOKES?
Yes I do commissions. All Tiny Blokes are 2 inches by 3 inches (other sizes may be available later). The painting comes unframed and unmatted. But remember that all commissions are for the painting only. Copyright of the image and any other rights, (reproduction, intellectual property rights etc) remain the property of the artist so you might see it on a mug or duvet cover one day without any say in the matter. However, if you want a unique Tiny Bloke painted to your own requirements, I will do commissions based on your own ideas and requirements as long as they fall within the Bloke Rules (see below). When the commissioned work is complete it will be named after you, or given a name you approve of. "Mrs Henderson's Tiny Bloke" or whatever, and become part of the Tiny Bloke Official Catalogue with its own unique identification number. Commissions are the same price as the normal Tiny Blokes, £7.50 (at the moment) because I enjoy doing them but you might have to wait a week or two for me to do them. ARE ALL TINY BLOKES UNIQUE?
The idea is for every Tiny Bloke painting to be unique so that your collection is unlike anyone else's. Even if I do several of the same character (e.g. Nelson, Charlie Chaplin etc) I will endeavour to add a new detail or change something. If one day I do two exactly the same then that would be collectable by itself because it isn't supposed to happen.
TINY BLOKE RULES
When commissioning a Tiny Bloke painting it is worth remembering the following. 1) Tiny Bloke is a cartoon character in his own right. He does not change shape or do things that do not match my visual image of him. e.g. I won't do one with a big nose, or a smaller head etc. I will, however, allow for such things as an actor might wear as a prosthetic, e.g. a Klingon's forehead etc. 2) If you wish to portray a character or real person they must be identifiable by their clothing and hair or some other visual clue because Tiny Bloke does not change shape. 3) Tiny Bloke doesn't do anything obscene (unless it makes me laugh.). 4) He does not remove his glasses until one day I decide he does. 5) Tiny Bloke will cross-dress for comedy effect, but female characters, like nurses, ballerina etc, will soon be covered by Tiny Bloke's girlfriend "Tiny Lass". (see the Tiny Lass catalogue below).6) I reserve the right to change the rules.

When you buy a Tiny Bloke painting you are only buying the painting. All rights to the image and any associated reproduction rights and products remains the property of the artist.
